Random Irony

Some idiot, self-centered Pennsylvanian politician in these parts is waging some self-absorbed war against some other idiot, self-centered politician and so he created some sign to win some stupid, big war. His sign, created by his stiff-necked camp was funded by a group of cigar-chomping Eaglez fans. It says, "Vote for Mr. X. He is for giving amnesty to 20 million illegal immigrants!" I chanced upon this sign while sitting at a traffic light. The light was in front of a McSubDevelopment inhabitated by a gaggle of Bushworld clones who drive SUVs and sate themselves on the arrival of the montly Crate and Barrel catalog. Near the sign at that particular moment, was an 'illegal immigrant.' He held a weed-whacker and trimmed around it. He stopped for a second to wipe his brow (the sweat was dripping onto the sign), and then he continued to trim the tall grass around the sign. The light turned green and the man and the sign faded into the distance. People were behind me and I couldn't slow down to take it all in; I had to keep going and moving fast, to get where I needed to go, to buy what I needed to buy, to drive back to where I needed to live. I had to unload what I needed to buy and display what I needed to display to keep the McWorld yentas at bay. Fuckin' A, I hate this place.
